Medford Cross Practice

Ready for round 2?  Last week was at the Ashland Middle School.  This week we are meeting up at Bear Creek Park in Medford at 5:30 pm.  I have a few pics and some videos from last week, but Blogger is being a bitch and not letting me upload them.  Actually, I can upload them fine, but you can't see them once they are posted.  I'm working on it.  Here's a pic, because I hate posts without pics.

Redding Has It Going On

The crew down at ESP in Redding have had cross on their mind all year long.  They have been having weekly long gravel rides as practice for the awesome Giro Epico that they put on each year.  Garth and the crew have a great ride calendar posted on their site.  Saturday and Mondays are the designated cross days.  Check their site regularly for updates and new events.   If you are on Facebook, look them up and start following them.  Shoot Garth an email if you have any questions.

Tuesday Night Cross Practice

Tuesday Night Cross Practices are starting up again.  In the past, we've rotated between four or five different locations and we've also had them at just one spot.  The focus has been just on cross skills and has also been a semi cross race to work on fitness and speed.  Now we're gonna combine all the things that worked and hopefully avoid a few of the things that didn't.  This year, the venues are going to alternate between Ashland Middle School and Bear Creek Park in Medford.  It will start off this week in Ashland and then next week head on up the road to Medford.  Both places will have an abbreviated course that we'll do a some hot laps on for fitness and will have plenty of spots to stop and work on your skills if you want to get a particular technique honed.  Practice starts at 6:00 pm, rain or shine.

Cross Season Coming Up!

It's almost here.  The Thursday Night crit series in White City is over, there are only a couple of road races left, and the weather has even provided us with a tease of the upcoming season.  This site will be hopefully used as a clearinghouse and repository of all things Cyclocross related down here in the "State of Jefferson".  I'll be beating the bushes, ringing phones, sending emails, knocking on doors, and even booking a face or two to try and keep the site current and up to date.

Please feel free to email or call me if you have anything to add or a scoop on something that should be featured.
